Cabbi Rider Safety measure

Payments + Refunds

With Cabbi there are two type of payment, you can pay either by cash or by a bank card (Debit or credit). For a rider that would like to add a card or change your payment method;

• Go to the Main menu (top left corner)
• Tap on Cabbi Money
• Select Add Card
• Manually enter or scan your card details then tap Confirm
• Enter your card expiry date and your CVC code (three digits on the back of your card)

The Cabbi driver app may experience technical issues with both the Cabbi driver app and rider app are installed in one phone. Also make sure your app is always the latest version

If technical issues are experienced:
• Restart your device
• Update your app
• Upgrade your phone operating system
• Reinstall the app
Technical Issues during a ride:
If the app crashes, restart your device. Travel information is available on our servers, and you don't need to worry about the ride cancelling because of a restart. • If restarting your phone doesn't solve the issue, agree on a reasonable price with the driver. Take into account the distance and duration of the ride and then request price review. If you need further assistance to resolve a technical issue, please contact our Support Team via the app.
Cancellation and Promo-codes
You can use a promo code only for IN-APP (credit or debit card) payments. To activate your discount, you would need to enter the code before requesting a ride: • Go to the Main menu (top left corner) • Tap on Cabbi Promotions • If you don't have a card selected, you will be prompted to change your payment method • Enter the promo code • Tap on Reward me Cancellation fee is not applicable in Johannesburg and Pretoria as yet. But will be added as time progresses.
Based on the nature of the trip, ratings are from 1 to 5 stars, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the greatest. The comment section is provided to give further details on the trip. Rating and Comment steps below; • End the trip • Swipe right to confirm the price Give stars, comment and confirm
Lost items
Contact Support on in the app or directly contact support on 086 011 2675. • Drivers are informed to return lost items to our office or the nearest police station, and we follow up by contacting the passenger. You may make some other convenient arrangement via a phone call, but this is up to the driver’s decision. • We do all we can to help you get your item back but please note that Cabbi is not responsible for items lost during rides
Changing details
As a Cabbi rider you can change your details by selecting the profile picture. Here you can: Upload your profile picture Edit your name on the account Edit the password Sign Out from the account Edit your Cellphone number
Price estimate
The price estimate gives you an idea of what the cost of your ride would be. Use the following steps to get a price estimate: • Enter your address, then tap on Set Pickup Location • Enter your destination in the field Set Destination • Your price estimate is shown below for each ride category. You can also view the Cabbi Rate card on the app.
